TPE encapsulation, as the name suggests, is the process of encapsulating TPE soft adhesive materials onto other materials. The commonly used processing methods include a dual color injection molding machine for one-time molding, or a general injection molding machine that uses a plastic wrap mold and is divided into two injection molding stages.
Material concept
TPE material is a general term for thermoplastic elastomers, also known as Thermoplastic Elastomer in English. It is a functional material that combines rubber elasticity and plastic stiffness, and can be directly injection molded and extruded. The TPE material commonly used for encapsulation refers to TPE-S, which is a thermoplastic engineering plastic obtained by composite modification of SEBS or SBS elastomers as the substrate. TPE-S type elastomers are commonly referred to as TPE or TPR in the elastomer industry.
