The vacuum casting process for making RPG miniature character models includes the following steps:

 

I, Design and Prototype Production

 

Design: Create a digital model of the miniature character using 3D modeling software.

Master model Production: Print a high-precision master model using a 3D printer. To ensure the prototype accurately reflects all the model's details, we use imported red wax material for printing.

 

II, Making the Silicone Mold

 

Mold Box Preparation: Create a suitable mold box based on the prototype's size and shape. The mold box is usually made of plastic or other sturdy materials to prevent deformation during the molding process.

Silicone Mixing: Mix liquid silicone with a catalyst and pour it into the mold box, fully covering the prototype model. Use a vacuum degassing machine to remove bubbles formed during the mixing process.

Silicone Curing: The curing process takes several hours. Once cured, remove the silicone mold from the mold box and extract the prototype model from the silicone mold.

 

III, Casting Process

 

Preparing Casting Materials: Mix the required casting materials with a catalyst in the recommended ratio.

Pouring into Mold: Pour the mixed casting materials into the silicone mold, then place the mold in a vacuum machine to remove bubbles from the casting material, ensuring the quality of the final product.

Curing: Allow the casting material to cure in the mold. Depending on the material used, this can take from a few minutes to several hours.

 

IV, Post-Processing

 

Demolding: Once cured, remove the cast from the silicone mold.

Trimming and Sanding: Use tools like knives and sandpaper to trim and smooth the cast, removing excess material and burrs to ensure a smooth surface.

Painting and Coloring: Paint and color the cast using spray paint, brushes, and pigments according to the design requirements.

 

V, Quality Inspection and Packaging

 

Quality Inspection: Check each cast for quality, ensuring there are no defects or bubbles and all details are clearly visible.

Packaging: Package the completed models with PE bag and Foam, preparing them for shipment to customers or further assembly and sale.
