Hand Sheet Bending parts are mainly suitable for small-batch production, prototyping or repair scenarios, such as the following parts which are widely used in industry, agriculture, national defense, navigation and other fields.

 

(1) Preparation. This step includes two aspects, one is calculating the unfolded size according to customer drawing, the bending coefficient (K factor) and spring-back compensation will be considered. The other is adjusting the mold by selecting the appropriate upper/lower mold opening according to the thickness of the plate (V-groove width ≈ 6~8 times the plate thickness).

(2) Bending. At this step, we will firstly position the plate by using the material stop device to determine the bending line position. After that, we will clamp the plate to prevent sliding. Then we will set the target angle (such as 90°), the spring-back (usually 2°~5° overbending is required) will be considered. Finally, applying pressure on the plate to form the parts. During the process, we slowly press the handle down to make the upper mold contact the plate and complete the bending.

(3) Check the forming. Use a protractor or template to verify the angle, if the angle is not fine, we will adjust the angle and do the bending again to get a final qualified bending angle.

(4) Post-processing. According to customer's request, some post processing will be done, such as deburring, paint, powder coating, electroplating, electro polish, and etc.

Q: Can you make a part for me with the picture I sent you?

A: We love to serve your needs. However, a completed 3D file is needed for quote as we can't do the right job by only a picture. Maybe you can just send us the actual sample, we can help to scan it and get the 3d file for further quotation. But, please be understood that this service will need you to pay the certain charge.

Q: I do not have drawings but I have a sample, can you do prototype?

A: Sure, we are very flexible to serve client especially when client need special help. Just scanning it to get 3d file by affordable cost, it's a best solution for you.

Q: I need the parts urgently, can you finish the 100pcs within 1 week?

A: Ok, understood the urgent situation. But I need to check with our production to see if it is possible to make special arrangement. When is you really dateline? A quick update for your urgent order, we can arrange production to do overtime job, but we need to ask some extra charge, will you accept it?

Q: I prefer silk-screen / Laser etching.

A: OK, I will check again with my team if the silk screen is workable on your project or not.
